Little Man is really starting to play with things and they all go straight to his mouth! Teething has definitely began!! Colton still uses alot of the other months essentials but we introduced a few things this month that he loved and have been great for us as well!! Here are my 4 Month Essentials!
Boogie Wipes Great Grape Gentle Saline – These things are great!! Sometime the little ball sucker doesn’t get the nose completely clear and these just pull out the boogies! Total must have for us; I have a pack in his diaper bag, his changing table in his room and at his changing table downstairs at our house. I like the grape better, the regular ones just smelled funny.
Baby Einstein Take Along Tunes – Colton loves this thing! He watches all the colors as it plays the music. He is very into anything that plays music right now. This really distracts him when he starts to get fussy or wants out of his carseat if we are at dinner. It ‘s also great because he can hold onto and put in his mouth.
Evenflo ExerSaucer Triple Fun – OH man has this thing been a lifesaver!! It keeps Colton entertained for at least 30 minutes and allows me to get some stuff done around the house. It plays music, talks, and has tons of stuff to look at. It also has three different stages for growth!! We didn’t really use the first stage but the second stage has been great! Once he is standing we will use that stage too! I don’t think they make this exact one anymore but I have linked it to the new one which is pretty much identical but it looks like it has a different hanging toy.
So’Pure Sophie Giraffe Teething Ring – This in one of Colton’s favorite things! He can grip both handles and put it in his mouth. It is soft but still hard enough for hs sore gums. It is a tad expensive for a teether but he loves his regular Sophie so I thought I would give it a try and he loves it! Worth every penny.
Fisher-Price Waterfall Rainforest Soother – This thing is GREAT!! I can set Colton in his crib and turn this on and he is set to go until it turns off. I can get some stuff done in his room while he enjoys the music, sounds and peek-a-boo monkey!! They only thing I wish it did was play longer, it ony plays for like 5 minutes. It says it plays 18 minutes of soothing lullabies but I haven’t figured out how to get 18 minutes! HA
Aden + Anais Sleeping Bag – These have been great for nighttime!! We were using their swaddle blankets but Colton started taking the blankets and putting them over hs face. So I switched him out to these and they have been great! Colton sleeps really well in them and they are just enough coverage to keep him warm.
Crane Drop Shape Cool Mist Humidifier – With all the allergies going on at our house, this has been so helpful with Colton. It helps keep him less stuffy. I remember the humidifier when I was a kid and they were so loud! This is quiet, you don’t even know it is on and it lasts all night on full blast without having to refill the water.
Board Books – Colton Really likes when you read to him!! He loves to look at the pictures and he grabs at the books and loves to listen to read. These are a few of his favorites: Goodnight Moon, Little Blue Truck, and The Very Hungry Catapillar.
Innobaby EZ Grip Massaging Teether – LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this!!! We received it in our Citrus Lane box and Colton is obsessed with it!! As soon as he sees it he smiles and grabs for it. It is perfect for teething and it has a little rattle as well. The whole thing is a teether and it is super easy to clean. Total must have for us!
Fisher-Price Go Baby 1-2-3 Crawl Along Snail – This is a great toy!! It lights up, sings and plays music! It also has a mirror for Colton to look at himself. It has two different modes; one where it can stay stationary and one where it crawls along when bumped. We have it on the stationary setting. It has really helped getting Colton rolling side to side. He hasn’t shown too much interest in rolling so I am trying to encourage it.
Those are our 4 month must haves and they have been essential for us!! I hope you give them a try and that they work for you little one!!
Until next time!

Thank goodness for certain products, right? There were def a few that we really depended on for Colton the last couple of months. They made life easier and they brought so much enjoyment to little man! Here is what worked for us, others might have other essentials but these were ours!
Fisher-Price My Little SnugaBunny Cradle ‘n Swing – Colton did not like his swing at first but all of sudden at two months he LOVED it!! He takes great naps in there and loves looking at the birdies and the mirror. Def a must have!!
Aden + Anais Security Blankets – Little man loved his swaddle blankets so much that I bought a back of the security blankets and he loves them! He has to have it to go to sleep and loves rubbing his face with it. He likes playing peek-a-boo with it too! It comes in many different designs!
Oball Rattle – These are great for the little hands!! Colton has no problem gripping on to these and loves the little rattle. He tries putting the whole thing in his mouth! HA Must have!!
Fisher-Price Rainforest Melodies & Lights Deluxe Gym – This thing is GREAT!! It plays music, has lights that flash, and toys!! Colton loves it. Also you can use it for tummy time, we would be lost with out this. We use it daily multiple times!
Vulli Sophie the Giraffe Teether – He likes to hold on tho Sophie He just started trying to but it in his mouth but he more likes to hold on to it. He also likes when you squeak it! Must have!
Fisher-Price My Liuttle SnugaMonkey Monkey & Bananas – Colton loves this rattle! He loves to eat it and hold on to it. It was the first toy he was drawn too.
Snuza Hero Baby Monitor – Now this is a pricey item but it gives me a peace of mind when we go to bed for the night. This clips on the babies diaper and monitors babies movement/breathing. If the baby stops moving it vibrates to wake the baby a little if they still don’t move an alarm will go off. SIDS is scary to even think about and this just gives us a little peace of mind.
Johnson’s Hand and Face Wipes – These are great to wipe up spit up, to clean his hands and face, and just a quick face clean in the morning. I keep them on his changing table and I take them with me in his diaper bag! Love them!
4Moms Cleanwater Infant Bath Tub – Hand down my favorite product!! Colton loves bath time and this bath tub has been a knee saver! It goes over the kitchen sink which means you don’t have to bend down trying to give your little one a bath in the big bath tub. It also has a thermometer to make sure that the water isn’t too cold or too hot. It has clean water reservoir as well and you can circulate the dirty water with clean water! Its great!!
Well that’s it!! I hope these items work for you as well!! If I had to do it all over again these would be the items I would register for!
Until next time!

I am a little late on posting this since little man is now 2 months but here it is anyways! 🙂 When Colton was a wee newborn there were a few products that we really depended on and made our life a lot easier. Here is what worked for us, others might have other essentials but these were ours!
Fisher-Price My Little Snugabunny Bouncer – Colton LOVED his bouncer from the get go. It was great for him to nap in, to just relax in and for us to have a break in holding him. This bouncer has two different music sounds and vibrates. THe only downfall is that it goes through batteries.
Aden + Anais Swaddle Blankets – these were the best to swaddle with! The are not too heavy and are very breathable. To be honest, I wouldn’t by any other blanket but these. I have ton of blankets and we haven’t even touched them.
Tommee Tippee Closer to Nature Pacifiers 0-6m – Colton took to these pacifiers and they have been great! He liked the 0-6m better than the 0-3m ones though.
Fisher-Price My Little Snugabuny Newborn Rock n’ Play Sleeper – This thing is perfect!! Baby boy has been sleeping in it since we brought him home. Its light weight, doesn’t take up that much room and folds for easy storage. Plus the entire cover is washable!
Carter’s Cotton Zip-up Sleep & Play Pajamas – OMG are the zippers so much easier than the snaps. Those late night changes are pain when you are trying to snap together the other pajamas. The zip-up pajamas are def my favorite and plus they are cute!
Boppy – Perfect for nursing! There are a ton of different cover choices and machine washable!
Gerber Newborn Bidseye Prefold Diapers – We are not a cloth diaper family but we use these for burp cloths. They are perfect to go over your shoulder to burp or to wipe up some spit up.
Aveeno Baby Daily Moisture Lotion – We started Colton on a different lotion but he was getting a rash from it, so we tried this lotion and loved it. It dries quickly and is fragrance free which is good for babies sensitive skin.
Itzbeen Pocket Nanny – what a lifesaver this was during the first month! It keeps track of the last diaper change, lasted feeding, last side you fed on and more. Perfect of sleep deprived mammas.
Pampers Swaddlers and Pampers Sensitive Wipes – Each baby is different (duh..) but this are the diapers that worked for us. We never had a blow out (knock on wood), just a couple of pee pee leeks when
daddy we didn’t put the diaper on right.
That’s it! If I was having a baby all over again, I would be registering for all of these items. We wouldn’t have made it through the first month with out them! Well we would have but we wouldn’t be happy campers!!
Until next time!
