Pinterest Project Tuesdays: Molton Chocolate Cake

Who doesn’t love desserts? I am mostly an ice cream person but give me a good Chocolate Molton Cake and I am sold! As you know, or you might not now, I love Pioneer Woman Ree Drummand. So when I saw a pin for her Homemade Molton Chocolate Cake, I just knew I had to make it!

IMG_6931I was so excited to give this a try that I actually went out the day I saw the pin to get the chocolate to make them that night!! It really was easier to make then I ever thought it would be. I always thought it would be a difficult dessert to make at home so I never attempted it but Ree Drummand’s recipes tend to be easy to follow so I thought I would give it a try. Here is the pin that inspired me.

photo-21Like I said earlier, this pin takes you to Ree Drummand’s website, The Pioneer Woman. I pretty much followed exactly what she did, but instead of serving with whipped cream, I did vanilla ice cream. Here is what I did.

What you will need:

  • 4 Squares of Semi-Sweet Baking Chocolate
  • 1/2 cup of Butter
  • 1 cup of Powdered Sugar
  • 2 Whole Eggs
  • 2 Egg Yolks
  • 6 tablespoons of Flour
  • Vanilla Ice Cream
  • Cooking Spray
  • Cookie Sheet
  • 4 Custard Cups

IMG_6906First thing you do is preheat the oven to 425. Then spray the 4 custard cups with cooking spray and place on cookie sheet. Make sure you spray them liberally.

IMG_6907 IMG_6908Then microwave chocolate and butter for 1 minute until butter is melted.

IMG_6910Then whisk melted butter and chocolate together.

IMG_6911 IMG_6912Then add powdered sugar and whisk together.

IMG_6913 IMG_6914Next add the 2 whole eggs and the 2 egg yolks and whisk together.

IMG_6920 IMG_6922Evenly distribute batter into the 4 custard cups. Bake for 13-14 minutes.

IMG_6924Remove from oven and let sit for 1 minute. Invert cakes onto plate and serve warm with ice cream.
