I love Hot Chocolate, it is my go to drink in the winter time; especially since I don’t drink coffee. I wanted to make little gifts for my Mother-in-law and Sister-in-laws for Christmas. I was watching Bethenny one morning and it was about Homemade Gifts.
One of the gifts was a Hot Chocolate Mix and I just knew I had to make something like this! Here is the pin that inspired me.
The pin takes you to the Bethenny shows website. I have loved Bethenny since she was on Real Housewives. I pretty much followed the instructions. Here is what I did.
What you will need:
- Hot Chocolate Mix
- Mini Marshmallows
- Mini Chocolate Chips
- Glass Mason Jar
- Red Ribbon
- Hot Glue
- Red Letter Stickers
- Snowflake Stickers
- Red and White Paper Straws
- Mini White Ornaments
The first thing you do is obviously wash your jars and lids. Make sure they are dry completely. I got my jars from Hobby Lobby. They did not come with lids but Wal-Mart sells Mason Jar Lids. Then fill each jar with 1 cup of Hot Chocolate mix.
Then add a layer of Mini Chocolate Chips.
Then fill the rest with Mini Marshmallows and add the lid.
Next add the first letter of the person’s name to the jar. I used my left over letter stickers from my Jingle Bells Block.
Next cover the lid with ribbon. I used my left over ribbon from my Christmas Card Holder. Hot glue the ribbon to the lid.
Finally, I tied on the straw and ornament.
Super cute right? I think they came out great.
According to the instructions, you can add 1-2 cups of hot water or milk to the jar, shake and drink. I will def be making these again.
I hope everyone has a Happy New Year! I can’t wait to see what 2014 brings since 2013 was so great!
Until next time!
