Movie Review: The Hangover III

As soon as we saw that Hangover III was coming out, we knew we wanted to go see it. So last weekend we headed to Studio Movie Grill (my fav!) to see Alan and the rest of the Wolf Pack!

the-hangover-3-poster3-388x600Here is the trailer incase you haven’t seen it yet.

I thought it was really funny! Alan of course was the best; his one liners never get old. I still like the first one best, I mean it is hard to beat that one. Three was much more revolved around Chow and his shenanigans rather than Alan, Phil and Stu. I loved the part with Alan singing, that was hilarious. There were some special cameos but I wish they would have brought back Mike Tyson one more time.

Overall, it was funny and kept me entertained the whole time. If you liked the first two, you will like this one!

Until next time!

Pinterest Project Tuesdays: Nail Polish Holder

HELLO!! I know I have been gone a long time. SORRY!! ūüôā I have been super busy with getting everything ready for Baby Colton. I was doing the Blog Everyday in May Challenge and I even had them scheduled to post but I am not sure what happened; they obviously didn’t post and I was just so busy/tired that I didn’t even have time to look at. ANYWAYS!! I am back and I swear I will try to be better to post. Lots going on!

ANYWAYS!! Today is Tuesday and that means its time for another Pinterest Project! Lately I have been all about organizing things, mostly my bathroom stuff! HA So when I saw this pin, I knew right away that I was going to have to do it!! I was taking a whole drawer up in my bathroom just for my nail polishes and it was such a waste of space. SOOO for this weeks project I decide to make a Nail Polish Holder.

IMG_2552It was super easy and was two steps!! I mean anyone could do it! Plus it gives color to my bathroom counter while giving me my drawer back! Here is the pin that inspired me this week.

photo-14To be honest, I didn’t even click on the pin to see where it would take me. I just took one look at the pin and I knew it was meant for me.

Here is what I did!

What you will need:

  • Nail Polish
  • Apothecary Jar

IMG_2535First thing you do is get your jar.

IMG_2537Then fill with all your nail polishes.

IMG_2539 IMG_2541Put lid on and your DONE!!

IMG_2542Super easy, super cute and perfect for me!!

IMG_2554I hope you guys give it a try and brighten up your bathroom counter!!

Until next time!

Pinterest Project Tuesdays: Acrylic Tray

It is time again for another pinterst project!! I decided to continue with my organizing theme. I knew as soon as I saw this pin, I was going to make one It was so easy and really is great to have! SO this weeks project is an Acrylic Tray.

IMG_2550Normally when I take off my jewelry that I wear everyday, i just end up putting it in random places. My nightstand, bathroom counter, kitchen counter, coffee table, so on. So when I saw Katie’s pin, I knew it would be perfect for my bathroom and help me keep things more organized. Here is the pin that inspired me for this weeks project.

photo-13The pin is from Katie over at Keep Calm & Carry On. One of my favorite blogs! She posts tons of great things from crafts to fashion. PLUS she has the one of the cutest dogs ever named Rocky! Take a look at her blog!! Anyways, I pretty much followed her pin with just a change here or there.

Here is what I did for my Acrylic Tray.

What you will need:

  • 8×10 Acrylic Picture/Shadow Box (I got mine from Michael’s)¬†
  • Piece of Cardstock
  • Tape Runner
  • Decoration items

IMG_2515The first thing I did was take my Acrylic Picture box and turned it upside down.

IMG_2521IMG_2522Then I took my piece of cardstock and put tape all over the bottom.

IMG_2523IMG_2524 IMG_2525Secure the paper to the inside of the tray.

IMG_2527 IMG_2529Add the decorations.

IMG_2548 IMG_2550Super easy right? I love the way it turned out and it is a great addition to my bathroom counter.I just feel better knowing there is a spot for my day-to-day jewelry.

In case anyone is wondering,  I got the bowl, vase and candle all from Target.

Until next time!

Day 7: The things you are most afraid of

Continuing with the Blog Everyday in May Challenge, todays topic is the things you are most afraid of.

There are a few different things that I am afraid of.

  • Needles!! I HATE THEM.I have always been afraid of them since I was little. I remember the first time I had to give blood, it was for life insurance, I took the day off of work to prepare for it. The nurse came to my house and I passed out. HA The hardest part about being pregnant is giving blood or so I thought… I was then diagnosed with Gestational Diabetes so now I am being forced to deal with my fear 4 times a day when I check my glucose levels… damn you needles… damn you… I am somewhat contemplating not getting the epidural because of the needle. I mean HELLO its in you back!

  • Spiders. I turn into a spaze when I see spiders. I can’t take my eyes off of it when I see them because if I do they will disappear and then I am up all night thinking there is a spider crawling on me.. AHH. I don’t even attempt to kill them because then I have to get close enough for them to possibly jump on me. SO I am the wacko who gets out the vacuum and use the hose attachment and stand as far away as possible and take care of them that way. HA To be honest, the really applies to all types of insects.
  • Losing all my pictures. I know this is a weird one but I have had it happen to me before. Brent accidentally¬†cleared my whole computer and we couldn’t recover anything. I lost pictures of my Papa that only I had from the last time we all got together as a family before he passed. I cried for hours and I mean literally cried for hours. Ever since then I have this fear of losing my pictures. So I save them on a my computer, back them up on our external drive, and I keep them on my memory card. Which means I have tons of memory cards because I refuse to delete the pictures.¬†

  • Childbirth…. obviously this is because I am pregnant and baby boy is going to have to come out at. I think every woman is afraid of childbirth, especially the first time.¬†

Those are all the main ones! What are you afraid of?

Until next time!

Blog Everyday in May Challenge

Over the weekend, I was catching up on some blogs and I noticed this awesome Link-up by Jenni over at Story of My Life. The challenge is to Blog Everyday in May. SOOO I thought I would give it a shot! So with here are Days 1-6.

Day 1: The story of your life in 250 words or less

I was born in Michigan on July 24th, 1985. I was spoiled raised by my entire family since I was so awesome and people just loved me! ūüôā I went by the name Jessie for longest time but then decided to go by my actual name Jessica. I went to the same Highschool as my entire family, Lets Go Rocks!! I have lived in many different states throughout my life (Michigan, Ohio, Maryland, Arizona, Florida, and Texas) but Michigan will always be my home with Texas being right behind it. I got married to my highschool boyfriend but realized that we were not meant to be together. Learned a lot and it made me the person I am today. I have lived in Houston since 2005 and didn’t like it too much the first couple of years. HA Then I met the love of my life in 2008 and with his help, I have started to appreciate Texas for all its worth, however, I am still trying to get use to the heat. He proposed in April 2010 and we have been married since November 2011. We have 4 fur babies, 2 dogs (Bella and Ali) and 2 cats (Simba and Tinkerbell). We are currently expecting our first little one, Colton, in June and we just can’t wait to meet him! I love scrapbooking, crafts, reading, movies, concerts, country music, NKOTB, shopping and am very addicted to Target. I can’t wait to see what else life brings my way!

Day 2: Educate us in something you know alot about or are good at. Take any approach you’d like (serious and educational or funny and sarcastic)

Hmm… this is a hard one!

IMG_5680I¬†would say I am good at educating people about Michigan’s apple orchards but more importantly the Apple Cider Donuts and Apple Cider. I have a passion of discussing this topic with anyone who will listen. I love explaining to non-Michiganders all about going to the apple orchards, getting fresh made cinnamon and sugar donuts with a large glass of apple cider or better yet an apple cider slushie! There is nothing like the fall time in Michigan but what makes the fall colors even better is enjoying cider and donuts!

IMG_5539Day 3: Things that make you uncomfortable

I wouldn’t say a ton of things make me uncomfortable but there are def a few that pop in my head right away.

  • Large groups of people. I just start to feel really uncomfortable around large groups of people. Maybe it’s because I was use to being by myself as a kid, but I just don’t like being surrounded by strangers. Now with that being said, I love going to concerts and things like that. Makes no sense but it makes sense to me. HA¬†
  • Trying new foods! AHH ¬†I hate it! I am the pickiest¬†eater ever and I hate trying new foods. I honestly start to feel very uncomfortable and start to panic when I have to try new foods.
  • Public speaking. I hate talking in front of classes and groups. I have taken like 5 speech classes and it just doesn’t get better.

Day 4: Favorite quote (from a person, from a book, etc.) and why you love it

One of my favorite quotes is from a Harry Potter.

tumblr_ldjtjngZIN1qbe699o1_500I just love the message and I think it is very positive. You create your happiness and you just have to remember to find it.

Day 5: Publicly profess you love and devotion for one of your blogger friends. What makes them great? Why do you love them?

I have never met any bloggers in person, so I guess I don’t really have any blogger friends. ūüôĀ BUT I will tell you some of my favorite blogs that I read and maybe I will meet them one day! HA

Beautiful Mess

A fellow Houston blogger! She is super funny and I love reading her blog posts.

Keep Calm & Carry On

She is BFF’s with Stephanie over at Beautiful Mess. She has one of the cutest dogs I have ever seen!!

The Girl in the Red Shoes

Julie is a new mom and I love reading all the posts about her cute son Hudson!

The Daily Tay

The Daily Tay

She is HILARIOUS! I look forward to reading her posts everyday!

Day 6: If you couldn’t answer with your job, how would you answer the question, ‘what do you do’?

Without saying my job, what do I do? I try to have fun in everything I do. When I am not a work, I bake, craft, decorate, shop, spend time with friends, travel, go to Target, go to the movies, spend time with my animals and husband, go to Target.. HA

tumblr_lskcxyjuRf1qh01r8o1_500I try to live life to its fullest. I mean you never know when you might not be able to do something so why not enjoy it while you can. There is nothing better than spending the day with Brent laughing and just having fun!

Until next time!

April Cara Box

Cara Box? What is that you might be asking. Cara Bo is a gift exchange among other bloggers/non-bloggers. It was created by Kaitlyn over at Wifessionals. Why is it called Cara Box, you might ask. Cara means beloved friend. The concept is each month you get paired with two people, one person you are sending the box too and the other person is the person sending the box to you. You can read all about the process over at Wifessionals.

This was my first month participating and I was SUPER excited!! Each month there is a new theme, April’s theme was Going Green. When I think of going green, I think of organic, recycled and earth type products. So when I was gathering items for my box to send, that is what I looked for. I was partnered with Cindy over at My Bellavida. She is a fellow Texan and it was soooo great getting to know here through email and her blog. Head over to her blog to see the box I sent her!

Now for my box! My box was from Lauren over at One Sweet Fairytale. I didn’t get to talk to Lauren too much but I did get to know a lot about her from her blog. I loved the box that she sent me! She put a lot of thought and time into getting to know me through my blog.

IMG_2444Here is a look into my box!

1) A Deep Cleansing Mask

IMG_24462) Socks for Colton

IMG_24483) Green Nail Polish

IMG_24504) A bucket

IMG_24525) Bath Salts

IMG_24536) A Frog Bath Mitten for Colton

IMG_24577) A homemade bag!! She did all the decorating herself!

IMG_2459I want to thank Lauren for sending me¬†a great first Cara Box!! I can’t wait to do May!! You should head over to Wifessionals and sign up!!

Until next time!
