Pinterest Project Tuesdays: Bracelet Holder

I am apparently on a mission to organize things. Not sure if this is due to pregnancy or just the fact that I want to organize. Either way i am sure Brent is happy! HA Anyways, this week project was another easy one that took less the five minutes. It is a Bracelet Holder.

IMG_2473I am horrible with my jewelry! I end up just leaving them on my nightstand and shoving it in the draw or I just leave it on my bathroom counter. So when I saw this pin, I knew it was perfect for me to do so that I could finally organize some part of my jewelry, plus then I don’t have to go looking for the bracelet I want since they will all be together!! Here is the pin that inspired my project this week.

photo-12The pin takes you to a blog called The Adventures of VAMH. It’s a cute lifestyle blog about the lives of Allison and Vinny! Take a look at it! She recently went on a trip to Paris.. can I say JEALOUS! One day I will go back and show Brent around.Anyways! Here is what I did for my project.

What you will need:

  • Paper Towel Holder (I got mine from Bed, Bath and Beyond)
  • Bracelets

IMG_2461First thing you do is get your Paper Towel Holder.

IMG_2464Then add all your bracelets.

IMG_2465DONE! SO easy right but a great way to be organized! Now I just need to do my necklaces…

Movie Review: The Big Wedding

As soon as I saw the preview for The Big Wedding, I knew I wanted to go see it. So this weekend Brent and I headed to one of my favorite places, Studio Movie Grill, to give it a go.

BigWeddingHere is the preview for the movie.

SO what did I think of it? I loved it! There were so many great actors (Robin Williams, Robert De Niro, Susan Sarandon, Katherine Heigl, Amanda Seyfried) and they all did a great job. I liked that each character had a their own story but it was all connected so you weren’t overwhelmed. It was obviously a romantic comedy but I would say it was more of a comedy than romantic. Brent even liked it!

If you are in the mood to laugh, you should go see this meeting!!

Until next time!

Pinterest Project Tuesdays: Cupcake Liner Holder

I just love buying cupcake liners the only problem is I never know where to put them, so I end up having a huge collection of them in my pantry. Then I ended up buying more because I think I don’t have any for the occasion that I am baking for but turns out I did, I just didn’t know it because they were shoved in the pantry! AHH… Which brings me to this weeks project! Cupcake Liner Holder

IMG_2436Well this weeks project has to be the easiest project I have ever done! It literally took me less than five minutes! I was able to declutter my favorite shelf in the pantry, the Baking Shelf! Maybe I am starting to enter the nesting stage in pregnancy or maybe I am just too excited to declutter! HA Here is the pin that inspired me this week.

photo-11To be honest, I didn’t even click on the pin to see where it took me. It was pretty self-explanatory on what to do… I feel bad about it but it is what it is! ANYWAYS! Here is what I did…

What you will need:

  • Glass Jar
  • Cupcake Liners

IMG_2412First things first, grab your jar.

IMG_2417Then fill the jar with the cupcake liners

IMG_2422IMG_2423AND DONE!!!! So easy right, yet so practical. Now I know where all of my liners are and I can see what I have. I am sure I will still buy more but at least I get to decorate with them!

IMG_2419Until next time!

Pinterest Project Tuesdays: We Love You Banner

Hello all! Sorry for the long break, it has been a very busy week! I am back and hopefully won’t take another big break until Baby Colton arrives!!

Anyways! We took our Maternity Pictures a couple of weeks ago and I LOVE LOVE LOVE the way they turned out! I will share them soon! I was searching Pinterest for weeks pinning lots of ideas that I wanted to do for our pictures. One in particular was this weeks project inspiration. It is a We Love You Already Banner.

IMG_2308Here is the pinned that inspired my project.

photo-10I love the little banner and it looked super easy to make! The pin takes you to Lauren Makes. I didn’t really look through her blog (I know, so not nice!) but i loved her We Love You Already Banner that she used in her Maternity shoot. I knew I wanted to make it right away however I did mine a little different from hers!

Here is what I did!

What you will need:

  • Red and Black Paint
  • Red Bakers Twine
  • Paint Brush
  • Scissors
  • Burlap (or whatever fabric you would like)
  • Hot Glue (not pictured)

IMG_2279The first thing I did was paint the words on the burlap.

IMG_2283IMG_2289IMG_2290After the paint dried, I cut out each individual letters into a little banner of their own.

IMG_2292IMG_2294Then I hot glued the letters to the bakers twine. Make sure you have enough bakers twine on each side to hold for the pictures.

IMG_2297IMG_2299IMG_2306IMG_2301and your done and ready to use for your pictures!! It was a really easy project and took maybe 15 minutes not including drying time. I hope you give it a try!

IMG_2308Now! Here is a sneak peek into our Maternity Pictures!!

dw-32I just love this one!!! I might be biased but I think it turned out GREAT! HA

Until next time!

30 before 30 Update

Being pregnant I realized that my current 30 before 30 list is just not reachable. While I would love to do all 30 of these things before I am 30, it is just not going to happen. NOW with that being said, they will be moved to my 40 before 40 list!

30-Before-30So I decided to make a couple changes to my current list. Here are my changes.

#6. Go back to London and Paris —-> Complete Alphabet Dating

While I cannot wait to go back to London and Paris and to show Brent my favorite places that I visited, there is just no way we are going to be able to make it there in the next 2 years. SOO this will have to be moved to a future list, which is okay because it gives us more time to save up and plan!

My new goal is to complete Alphabet Dating! What is Alphabet Dating? It is where you go on a date (once a week, month, whatever fits your time schedule) all based around a letter. I found this idea on a great website called Wifessionals.

#10. Finish my Bachelor’s Degree —-> Actually turn my Scrapbook Room into a Scrapbook Room

I will finish my Bachelor’s Degree but I know that I will not be able to finish it in the next two years. Not with a baby and working, I am sad and disappointed about this one but I know in the long run I will finish.

My new goal is to actually turn my Scrapbook Room into a Scrapbook Room. We have lived in our new house since July 2012 and all I have done to this room is shove boxes and craft supplies into the room. So my goal is to finally decorate, furnish and organize the room! It will happen!

#18. Learn to play an instrument —-> Take a photo of my son everyday for a year

I want to learn to play an instrument but I just don’t think I will have the time to do it before I turn 30. So this will be moving to a future list.

My new goal is to take a photo of my son everyday for a year. I really want to capture every moment of him and to see how he changes each and everyday. Especially since I will be working and I just don’t want to miss anything.

That is all the updates I have as of right now. They might change again but I feel that I will be able to complete all of my goals before I turn 30!

Until next time!

Moving on! The next project was my FAVORITE! It is the Easter Basket for Brent.

IMG_2179I LOVE LOVE LOVE the way it turned out! It was super easy and Brent just loved it. It is a very stressful time for him right now at work so I thought it would be nice to give him a little surprise. Here is the pin that inspired me.

photo 1-1The pin takes you to My Keep Calm and Carry On. This is one of my favorite blogs! She is super cute and writes about all different things. IF you haven’t taken a look at her blog, go there as soon as you can!
