Can you feel the love tonight?

On top of the Rivertrip this past weekend, we also had tickets to see the musical The Lion King on Sunday. I have seen it twice but the husband has never seen it! It was everything I remembered and more. It is so neat to me how they do the costumes! I just love it! When buying the tickets I made sure that we had end seats in the middle of the floor because I knew that the actors come into the audience. I made sure that Brent had the end seat and I couldn’t wait to see his reaction! When the play started and people start heading down the rows dressed as animals, Brent’s face lite up! He was so cute! HA It was well worth it to sit next to a kid that would not stop grabbing my arm because she thought I was her mom! HA

Until next time!

Floatin’ Away

We had a great time this weekend at out Annual River Trip! It’s always a blast spending time with friends! This year was far better for me since I did not fall in and there was no snakes! SCORE! It was nice to get away from all the unpacking and relax for a couple of days.

We switched it up a bit this year and went to the Gristmill on Friday rather than Saturday. The atmosphere, the company and the food was fantastic. It was a great way to start the weekend!

Originally, I was not supposed to float but when I saw everyone else getting ready to go I started to feel jealous.  So of course I had to change my mind and ended up going. As many know, I am not a huge fan of floating but I found a way that makes it awesome and that is renting a raft rather than a tube! I was hardly in the water and it was great! HA

When we got back from floating we all relaxed and BBQ. My friend Stephanie and I noticed that we were wearing the exact same outfit! Down to the purse, it was so funny!

OH! I was in charge of desserts and I was so excited to make these cupcakes I saw on Pinterest! They came out great and were so cute! I also made S’more Cookies, Lemon Cookies and Chocolate Chip Cookies!

It was a great time and I am looking forward to renting the raft again next year!

Until next time!

Playin’ in the Rain

This weekend I got to do my favorite thing! Spending time with my beautiful god-daughter! It was a great day! We went to brunch and then ran some errands. However, the best part of the day was when it started raining! Haylie just learned about rain on Sesame Street and was very excited to see it! So of course we had to go play in it! It was great seeing her so happy and smiling! I just love that kid!

Until next time!

Jessica’s Half Day of Fun

On Friday I got off of work early but I couldn’t go home since Brent and I carpooled that day so I had to stick around near downtown. SO what was a girl to do?? I ended up going to Highland Village to do some shopping and eating! Since we will be moving into our new house this week I thought I would go over to Crate and Barrel to get some stuff that we needed!

I love that store! If I could, I would buy one of everything. I ended up getting the dishes that we registered for ou wedding along with our cups! I can not wait to use them in the new house!

When I finished shopping I still had 2 hours before I had to go pick up Brent. So I went for lunch at PF Changs. It was happy hour so I took advantage of that! I had the Crispy Green Beans and the Honey Seared Chicken! It was SUPER good!

I finished my day off by swinging by Sprinkles Cupcakes! I picked up and Cinnamon Sugar for me, a Chocolate Marshmallow for Brent and two Puppy Treats for Bella and Ali!

It was a great afternoon only made better when I picked up Brent!

Till next time!

On the Fly in July Part 2

While going through my calendar, I realized our July is busier then we thought! Here’s what I forgot!

1) I love musicals and luckily my husband does too! We will be seeing The Lion King! If you haven’t had a chance to go see this you need to! The costumes, the music and atmosphere is so worth it!

2) “We’re livin on the edge!” We have the Aerosmith concert at the end of the month. I can not wait to see Steven Tyler and Joe Perry in their skinny jeans! HA

Lets hope nothing else comes up! HA

Until next time!

On the Fly in July

July is going to be a crazy month for us! We have so much going on that I have to put it all in a list!

1) We are moving into our new house! We are SO excited to move and we cannot wait for all the space. We are defiantly cramped in the townhouse with Brent, me, Simba, Tinkerbell, Ali and Bella! Pictures to come once we move!

2) We have our Annual Rivertrip ! We will be heading towards San Antonio to a town called New Braunfels. It’s a great weekend hanging out with friends and enjoying time away from Houston!

3) After the rivertrip we are off to VEGAS! We got lots planned for a trip! We are seeing a couple of shows and trying new restaurants! It’s going to be a blast!

4) Finally! It is my Birthday!! We will be in Vegas on my actual birthday this year but I can’t wait to celebrate it when we get home with friends and family!

Till next time!

All Dressed in White!

A year and half after our engagement, it was finally the day we have been waiting for! November 2011 seem to take forever to get here all at the same time coming too fast. The day was a true fair tale and we couldn’t have asked for more. I was so nervous while getting ready! What is funny though was it had nothing to do with getting married. It was the fact that all these people were going to be looking at me! HA I was a mess but I had a great time with my family and bridesmaids getting ready.

My Girls!

My Girls!

Brent from my understanding was perfectly fine…. but I bet he was a little nervous! HA It’s not like he had alot to do to get ready for the day!

The Guys

The Guys!!

Our ceremony was everything we could have asked for! It was filled with love and we couldn’t have been happier to be surrounded by our friends and family. Thank you again for all who came and helped us with our wedding! Especially our groomsman, bridesmaids, Ushers, Colin, Aunt Wendy, and Jim. You made the ceremony so special!

The reception that followed was everything we dreamed! The food, the cupcakes, and the dancing! All of it! It was so nice after all the planning and preparation to enjoy it all with our family and friends.
